The riverside area is leafy and fresh, with tall trees, standing out the alders and ash trees. This is a good habitat for White-throated Dipper, Black Stork and Otter. A more attentive stop on Maçãs River waters will allow you to observe its small fish (chubs, nases, or barbels), some river mussels or even the most elusive Pyrenean Desman.
","extension":"13.2 km","howToGetHere":"
By car, access to Quintanilha from:
\n- OPorto - A4 exit to Quintanilha; M523.
\n GPS: 41.751141, -6.570032
","id":"264ce2ba-d6fe-4f66-a610-aca3d0f27b6f","kmlUrl":"https://resources.natural.pt/uploads/pathways/2020/03/12/17/EwF0n8NsMiQSIMOK.kml","latitude":"41.751141","longitude":"-6.570032","metatagDescription":null,"metatagTitle":null,"name":"Salgueirão Trail","naturalPtMember":false,"otherSupportInfrastructures":"
Signs, picnic areas, car parking and coffee shops with toilets.
","pathwayClassificationId":"8e64ec2e-4095-49a4-b89a-1f8c3157350b","pathwayDifficultyId":"475c1f76-5308-4a74-b0bd-ca2eaf392d2a","pathwayFloorTypeId":"bdd3b05d-75b7-4bea-901f-a9bef7eb27f3","profileUrl":"https://resources.natural.pt/uploads/2017/Portal/Content/Rota/973dac1a-52e7-4cd5-b1f8-ed8f5d3a7837.jpg","promotingEntity":"ICNF - Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e das Florestas, I. Always pay attention to weather forecast and avoid performing activities in rainy days, thunderstorm or fog. Avoid going out by yourself, but, if you do, inform a friend or a local entity of your departure and return. Use simple and comfortable clothes. Make outerwear, food, water, sunscreen and/or a raincoat available. Take precautions and use insect repellent. You may also want to take a mobile phone and flashlight (do not start a fire, don't dispose of cigarette butts incorrectly and pay attention because in summer and other hot periods smoking can be forbidden in forest areas). Take special precautions and always stay on the paths, especially in limestone areas (with cracks, vertical caves and natural wells), where there are mines and when walking in rocky and moist areas, to avoid falling, and always act in a way that don’t puts yourself or others in danger.
","arrivalPoint":"Gimonde picnic area","coverImageAuthor":"Telmo Afonso","cumulativeClimb":"208 m","cumulativeDescent":"-208 m","description":null,"extension":"6.6 km","howToGetHere":"
By car, access to Gimonde from:
\n- OPorto - A4 to the exit to Bragança and N218;
\n- Bragança - N218.
\nGPS: 41.803250, -6.696741
","id":"a09c3bb6-a514-46e6-9783-b7d099326caa","kmlUrl":"https://resources.natural.pt/uploads/pathways/2020/04/27/14/8r8PgLwDdacLodvM.kml","latitude":"41.803250","longitude":"-6.696741","metatagDescription":null,"metatagTitle":null,"name":"PR9 Malara small","naturalPtMember":false,"otherSupportInfrastructures":"
Marked and signed according to national and international standards.
